Maryborough Easter ride 14/15 April 17

Maryborough Easter ride hosted by Maryborough Pony Club, put on a 160km to help qualify for this year’s Tom Quilty as well as 80km, 60km and 20km. We took along 7 year OSO Emelyne for her first 160km and AM Reigning Bianca to accompany her. Tracy-Lee Feltrin rode OSO Emelyne and Sorsha Stuart-Rokvic rode AM Reigning Bianca. What a result for the riders and horses; they managed and completed the ride in an amazing time of 12 hours and 18 minutes. They also achieved 1st place Middleweight 160km and Best Condition for OSO Emelyne and Tracy-Lee Feltrin. AM Reigning Bianca and Sorsha Stuart-Rokvic got 1st place Lightweight. Amelia Napier our new OSO rider from Tasmania rode OSO Nicholas and got 1st place Lightweight 80km, her rider partner Bec Radny on OSO Spiraling Wind got 6th place Middleweight 80km. Both came in with a time of 5 hours 9 minutes and great recovering heart rates. Hannah Mitchell out on the track to complete her last 80km to become an open rider on Brag Ngood, coming in at 6 hours and 24 minutes. Hannah’s riding partner Alycia Dawson and Am Final Cascade out for their first 80km together unfortunately didn’t vet through successful on the last leg, but both Final and Alycia have recovered well and ready to take on the next challenge. Overall a fantastic result for team OSO and we would like to thank Maryborough Pony Club for their hospitably.
